Always like coming here for dinner when we are in the area. Restaurant is generally clean and the staff there friendly. Never had a problem with our orders or the food, so we come here rather than checking out some of the other restaurants in the area. Quiet and nice atmosphere for a nice dinner with the family.

My mom and I decided last night to head to our favorite wing joint in Norwich, maybe a twenty-five-minute excursion from her house. Upon arrival we found parking to be scarce - nay, nonexistent. Driving by the building again, hoping for a miracle, we glanced inside to find our favorite spot probably nearing the point of capacity. Both with an aversion to deafening chatter, we decided to drive a bit through Norwich on the quest for nourishment. Then we came upon the 99. We're not huge proponents of chain restaurants like this but we were contending with ravenous appetites by this point, so we parked and went in.
There was a wait! That made me think this might have been a well advised decision.
They have a pretty extensive menu but my mom knew almost immediately that she would like the prime rib with a side baked potato and coleslaw. It took me a few but I settled for the Garlic Parmesan chicken mac and cheese. Not at all positively memorable.
The consensus? We didn't have high expectations and as such, these meals met our expectations. We both agreed we are likely to never return but at least our bellies were full.
Our waitress was amazing, though, and received what was around a 50% tip. -

Ordered a lobster roll to go. They never came out to the car; I had to go in to get it. not a big deal but don't advertise you'll come out to the car. So I get it and go home. Apparently, somebody doused the lobster salad with salt. yes I understand that lobster is from the sea and it may be somewhat salty but this was ridiculously salty where I couldn't eat it without a bite of bread to drown out the salt. Which brings me to how awful the bread was. So chewy I could barely bite into it. I think my dog would have had a hard time. The coleslaw was watery like it had been sitting there for days. I have had a lobster roll and slaw there before that was fine so I don't know what happened this time. Bad lunch to go.

The location is well kept. The food came out quickly and was appealing. The baked potato was over cooked but chicken was delicious! Martini had a lot of pulp.
There were kids at the bar at 10:30pm and a customer yelling about a golden shower which staff laughed and jokingly responded to. -

We enjoy eating here however a glass of seltzer costs $2.79! Happy hour wine is $4.00. Doesn't make any sense
